Colin's first visit Colin's first visit to Isle of May was on his father's fishing boat 'Boy Peter' in 1954. The Lighthouse keepers had goats at that time, and one almost knocked Colin over a cliff! Luckily his uncle was on hand to catch him, and many decades later he went on to become skipper of the May Princess. Colin and Anstruther Pleasure Trips provide visits to the island of May all summer, from April to September inclusive. The MV May Princess is licensed by Scottish Natural Heritage to take visitors to the Isle of May. Spend two to three hours wandering about on this beautiful National Nature Reserve, home to incredible wildlife including Puffins, Guillemots, Razorbill, Shag [April to early August is the best time for seabirds], seals all year round, dolphins, and even whales are sometimes seen. Visit the remains of a 6th and 12th Century Monastery and the oldest lighthouse in Scotland, with superb views everywhere! Contact Details for Anstruther Pleasure Trips: |
